CAPPADOCIA

In early November, 2025, having finished a 500km bike ride along the Turkish Lycian Coast with a group of friends, we rented cars and spent the next week driving back to Istanbul. On the way we stayed in Goreme, Cappadocia for three nights at the wonderful pension, Kismet Cave House. Cappadocia was a visual and historical marvel. I had read about the picturesque landscape and the fairy chimneys, but I hadn’t appreciated that the caves and underground settlements had been inhabited for thousands of years, and that it was an early Christian settlement in the time of the Apostle Paul of Tarsus. These photos are all taken on an iphone.
