On the Bay the line between the landscape and the rock is not always an easy one to draw. It’s a question of scale - sometimes rock is the landscape itself. It’s one thing to realize that these rocks are, at 1.5 billion years old, some of the oldest on the planet, but it is another to imagine that they were once the under mountains that were higher than the Himalayas.
